We have cultivated our top 10 books you can't miss out on reading to bring in this fall weather. Snuggle up with any of these page-turners, and I'm sure you won't regret it. 
All of these books have the perfect blend of mystery and lust and will transport you to a realm where love is entangled with suspense in the most spell-binding way.

The Vampire Dairies is very well known for its TV show that came out in 2009, but have you ever dove into the story of Elaina, Stephen, and Damion? This captivating story was written by L.J Smith in 1991 and has created many sequels to this series. Lots of attention has been brought to the TV show but not as much to the novel. If you love vampires and a love triangle, this is the book for you.

The book “You” was a novel published in 2014 and written by Caroline Kepnes. They turned this story into a Netflix show called “You” which was quite popular in 2019. Many of you may have watched this Netflix film, but the detail in this book series captures it better than anything else. And yes, I said series. Caroline Kepnes has published three sequels to this book... “Hidden bodies”, “You love me”, and “For you and only you”. So if you find yourself interested in this story of the mind of a disturbed man and his obsessive love, you have three more romantic psychological thrillers waiting for you.  




3. Verity 


Verity


Verity was written by Collen Hoover, a #1 New York Times author. This romance mystery follows the narrative of Lowan Ashleigh, a struggling writer who was offered a unique opportunity. In the story, Lowan uncovers secret after secret as the pages turn. Verity keeps the readers guessing as it unravels twisted mysteries that lie beneath the surface.

The Perfect Marriage was written by Jeneva Rose in 2020. In this story, Sarah Morgan is put up to defend her husband, Adam against the murder of his mistress. Is Adam really guilty? And will Sarah defend her husband? Take a chance on this gripping thriller to figure out the truth.

You shouldn't have come here

Another romantic thriller written by Jeneva Rose that needed to be on this list is "You shouldn’t have come here". The new romantic mystery was published in April of 2023. In this story, Grace Evans needs a getaway from her busy new work lifestyle and decides to book an Airbnb out in Wyoming. She is pleased by the handsome owner, Calvin Wells, but something just seems quite off about this town. All is well with Grace and Calvin till their relationship takes a turn.

A Twisted Love Story is a romantic thriller of the young couple Wes and Ivy. Their relationship tells the story of a toxic relationship. When things are good, it's amazing. Just like they are the only two people left in this world. Although when things seem to get bad, it's very bad. I'm talking about fights, arrests, property damage, etc. They both never choose to speak about what happened the night of their worst breakup, but will their new enemy, who just so happens to be a detective stir things around? Will the truth of that night unfold, or will the two stick together? 


7. The Dead Romantics 



The Dead Romantics


The Dead Romantics is a romantic novel written by Ashley Poston in 2022. Florence Day is the main character, who is a ghostwriter. After a difficult breakup, she believed love was dead, and it wasn’t any help getting an unexpected phone call about her father passing. As she travels back to her hometown, which she hasn’t been to for the past 10 years, she encounters a ghost who she helps get through his past. These two grow to have a special connection and will have Florence second-guessing everything she's known about love.  



8. Deadly Night

Deadly Night was written by Heather Graham in 2007. This is a romantic suspense story of the Flynn brothers. The brothers find themselves inheriting a New Orleans plantation along with secrets that are yet to be discovered. After Aidan Flynn, the oldest brother, hears a story from a tarot card reader about a woman in white, they start to discover things around the plantation that for sure have to do with the dark past of this creepy place. Will these two discover the truth of the plantation's past before their fate is decided for them? 


 

9. Mr. Perfect

The romantic mystery Mr. Perfect was written by Linda Howard in 2000. One night, Jaine Bright and three of her closest friends were discussing the qualities of the perfect man. What would they be like, look like, how would they dress, even how tall? Over the course of the night, they create a checklist that goes viral overnight. What turns into all fun and games at first takes a turn when one of the women is murdered. With the help of a police detective, Jaine has to keep the rest of her friends safe and figure out who the murderer is. 


10. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder 



A Good Girls Guide to Murder


This romance murder mystery is one you don’t want to miss out on. Holly Jackson has created two sequels to the novel written in 2019. The sequels are "As Good as Dead" and "Good Girl, Bad Blood". A good girl's guide to murder has to do with a closed case that shook the town five years ago. A very interested Pippa Fitz-Amobi chose this controversial topic within her community for her high school case study project. She starts to bring up ghosts from the past and uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to hide. Will Pippa discover the truth?
